The “Arkadag” footballers continued their winning streak, defeating “Shagadam” 4:1 in the 11th round of the Turkmenistan Championship.    

The game took place in the city of Turkmenbashi.

The visitors took the lead in the 3rd minute after an accurate shot by Mekan Saparov. In the 37th minute, Velmurad Ballakov doubled “Arkadag's” advantage.

In the 68th minute, Ashir Dzhumadurdyev reduced the gap to a minimum – 1:2. The final score was set by the top scorer of the 2024/25 AFC Challenge League, Altymurad Annadurdiev, who scored twice in the 71st minute from the penalty spot and in the 90th minute.    

This allowed A. Annadurdiev to catch up with Didar Durdiev (“Arkadag”), who topped the list of scorers of the 2025 Turkmenistan Championship. Both players have 6 goals each. Their teammates Begench Akmamedov and Ikhlas Saparmamedov, as well as Meylis Diniev (“Akhal”) have 1 goal less. Abdyresul Abdiev (“Merv”) and Zafar Babadzhanov (“Altyn Asyr”) have 4 goals each.

Having won its eighth victory in a row, “Arkadag” topped the tournament table with 24 points. “Akhal”, who played 2 matches more, has the same number of points. “Shagadam” is 3 points behind the leaders after 12 matches.    

The other two matches of the 11th round ended in a 0-0 draw. This is how "Merv" and "Nebitchi" played in Mary, and "Ashgabat" and "Kopetdag" played in the capital. At the same time, “Kopetdag” was able to hold a draw, playing one and a half times in the minority due to the removal in the 24th minute for two yellow cards of Bayramgeldi Gulmaev.

The 11th round will end with a meeting of two principal rivals - "Altyn Asyr" and "Akhal". The game will be held at the stadium in the Buzmeyin etrap of Ashgabat.
