Today, the 24th International Universal Exhibition and Conference «White City Ashgabat» started in the Turkmen capital. It was organised by the capital's administration together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

A festive atmosphere reigns here, creative groups and artists perform musical and dance numbers.
Members of the Government, heads of industry ministries and departments, the Ashgabat city administration, heads of diplomatic missions and missions accredited in Turkmenistan, domestic and foreign businessmen, representatives of public organisations, the media, and residents of the capital took part in the grand opening of the event.
The participants listened with great enthusiasm to the welcoming address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the XXIV International Universal Exhibition and Conference «White City Ashgabat».
The head of state expressed confidence that the international exhibition and conference, organized to popularise the successes of white-marble Ashgabat in the world community, exchange experience in this area with foreign partners, will be of great importance in continuing the work to enhance the beauty of the Turkmen capital, its further transformation into one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the world.
«Most of the projects presented at the annually organized international exhibition «White City Ashgabat» were embodied in beautiful buildings that have become an adornment of our city. New production, socio-cultural, scientific-educational, medical and sports facilities, modern residential buildings not only decorate the appearance of white-marble Ashgabat, but also have great importance in improving the living conditions of citizens, providing them with high-quality social services», the head of state noted in his message.
After the official part, familiarisation with the stands of more than 150 state and private institutions and enterprises of our country, as well as foreign companies presenting their products and services, begins. The pavilion of the Ashgabat city administration harmoniously combines the possibilities of modern technologies and traditional methods. The monitors showed footage of the progress of the white-marble capital in the social and economic spheres. The numerous beautifully decorated flowers and ornamental gardens on display speak of the great attention paid to the ecological well-being of the country. Special attention is given to the models of objects that make up the appearance of Ashgabat. Among them, buildings symbolising sovereignty, the permanent neutrality of the country, friendship, brotherhood and prosperity stand out.
The image of our capital is the embodiment of rapid growth and unrivaled beauty, inextricably linked with the continuous construction work carried out here.
The stands of the ministries and departments of the country's construction and industrial complex are of great interest at the exhibition, clearly demonstrating the successes of the Turkmen state in construction, electric power, production of building materials, and the chemical industry, achieved thanks to the modern conditions created by the Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
As is known, thanks to the comprehensive work carried out on the innovative transformation of the country's construction and industrial sectors, the development of industry through diversification, and the consistent improvement of the population's standard of living, great progress has been made in increasing the potential of the national economy. At the same time, special attention is paid to the development of domestic production of various building materials, increasing their competitiveness and increasing their range, strengthening the production and scientific-technical base of the construction industry, and introducing effective tools for economic management. Along with this, large production complexes have been created that produce high-quality construction products from local raw materials. Among them is the «Bäherden» ceramic products enterprise, which was put into operation in March of this year with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. A wide range of ceramic decorative and sanitary products manufactured by the enterprise, as well as its modernity, aroused great interest among the exhibition participants.
The pearl of Central Asia – Ashgabat attaches great importance to the introduction of modern technologies based on digital systems in social facilities and road transport infrastructure. It should be noted here that the economic society «Aýdyň Gijeler» - one of the first and largest enterprises of our country specializing in the electronics industry, is constantly expanding the range of its products. Solar-powered street lamps, the production of which this company has mastered, are presented at the exhibition for the first time. The company also introduces visitors to cables, lighting fixtures and road barriers used in urban development. The economic society «Rysgally nesip» offers LED lamps of various capacities. Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan play a key role in providing large-scale construction projects in the country with high-quality materials. Entrepreneurs, who make a significant contribution to the dynamic development of our national economy, actively contribute to the growth of the construction industry, expanding production. «Galkynyş plastik» private enterprise offers a wide range of plastic pipes, rubber surfaces for running tracks and playgrounds, and plastic materials used for soil reinforcement in road construction. In addition to implementing construction projects, «Döwlet gurluşyk» private enterprise has also established the production of basalt fiber. This construction material is a valuable raw material for the production of coatings that ensure the maintenance of a stable temperature and sound insulation of structures. «Erjel-Begenç» private enterprise produces artificial marble and granite products that have wide possibilities in terms of durability and appearance. «Döwletli Döwran» private enterprise also introduces visitors to various types of ceramic tiles, roofing tiles, construction and decorative bricks. Leading companies from such countries as Türkiye, France, Germany, Spain, China, Iran, Ukraine, the Republic of Korea, as well as their branches in Turkmenistan, presented their stands at the universal international exhibition. Among them are our country's long-standing partner companies «Çalik Enerji», «Gap Inşaat», «Rönesans» and «Bouygues», which continue to successfully implement projects to transform the country, including its capital. The company «Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd» presents its projects in the field of construction of high-rise buildings, laying underground communications and creating processing industries. Of particular interest is the project of the company «Interbudmontazh» to create a large underground transport infrastructure in Ashgabat. The company «Wirtgen Group» offers opportunities for cooperation in the field of supply of powerful construction equipment.
Today, Turkmen entrepreneurs compete equally with foreign companies and achieve success in their activities. Actively participating in the implementation of large projects, they gain vast experience. Thus, private enterprises «Çeper gurluşyk» and «Ojar Aziýa», as well as business societies «Dost gurluşyk, söwda, önümçilik» and «Türkmenbina gurluşyk» presented their implemented and ongoing projects at the stands. Private enterprise «Baýly-Gurluşyk» introduces visitors to the projects of the Palace of Children and Youth «Güneşli» and the children's library, which are planned to be built in Ashgabat. The images of objects already built and being implemented in the city of Arkadag, as well as capital projects, presented at the exhibition stands of private developers of the country, clearly demonstrate that this modern «smart» city has become an important platform for the development and accumulation of experience of Turkmen business. The enterprise «Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment» is the first large production complex of a modern «smart» city, which has no analogues in the region, also offers consumables of everyday demand for the medical sphere and baby food products that meet international standards. These products were presented at their stands by wholesale and retail entrepreneurs of the country. Particular attention in the projects implemented in our country is paid to environmental issues. The transformation of our capital into a blooming garden and ensuring its environmental well-being is under constant control. The main part of the exhibition was made up of stands of enterprises presenting their achievements in the creation of park areas and the cultivation of various garden seedlings and flowers. The ecological approaches to courtyard design offered by the companies «Saýaly jülge» and «Bossan Concept» are especially attractive. A large park complex created by the private enterprise «Ak diwar» in the central part of the capital will become a green zone where various types of plants will grow.
In addition to the construction complex, a separate section of the exhibition is occupied by stands of entrepreneurs representing various spheres of production and services.
Among them are companies demonstrating a wide range of furniture for home and office. Enterprises specialising in the production of vegetables, melons and various food products also introduce visitors to their contribution to ensuring food abundance in the country. Of particular interest were the stands of private enterprises «Täze Aý», «Maksada okgunly», «Erteki» and the economic society «Hasar». Soft drinks and fruit juices of Turkmen producers are in great demand in the summer. Some of them came to the exhibition with new products. Here you can also see a wide range of products from manufacturers such as «Akdaş miwe içgileri», «Arçalyk, Berk akar», «Turkmenistan Coca-Cola Bottlers», «Ýüpekçi and Miweli oba». The stands of the confectionery companies «Bäş örüm and Ýakymly» tell about their work in producing various sweets.
Entrepreneurs operating in the service and trade sectors are actively participating in the exhibition. Many of them are well-known enterprises developing both retail and restaurant businesses. Among them are suppliers of everyday goods such as «Şerbet market» and «Halk Market», as well as restaurant chains including «Şa kafe», «Hezzet», «Toý Mekany» and «Bahar».
Several higher education institutions of our country also set up their pavilions at the universal event. This creates conditions for young people graduating from school on Ashgabat City Day to become more familiar with the areas of higher professional education and the opportunities that open up. Private educational centers operating in our country are also actively participating in the exhibition.
Entrepreneurs from our country and abroad introduce visitors to their services in the installation of heating, cooling and power supply systems. The exhibition also includes a display of the latest and most modern cars from leading global manufacturers designed for everyday use, as well as high-tech construction and municipal equipment.
In general, the exhibition area clearly demonstrates the continuous, highly dynamic development of our white-marble capital in all areas, as well as its significant potential for business activity. The universal international exhibition provides favorable opportunities for familiarization with advanced urban planning concepts, assessing the city's unique architectural solutions and establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with representatives of government agencies, the industrial sector and innovative production.
In the afternoon, a conference entitled «White City Ashgabat» was held at the capital's «Olimpiýa» Hotel. The plenary session «International Year of Peace and Trust: White City Ashgabat- City of the Future and Opportunities» was attended by leaders and representatives of state and private enterprises of the country, specialized UN structures and other international organisations, diplomatic missions, as well as large foreign companies. As noted in the speeches, thanks to the initiatives of Hero Arkadag and the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan, the appearance of the capital has changed beyond recognition. Modern residential complexes, cultural and sports facilities, production facilities, a modern way of life based on scientific and technological solutions are being created here. It was emphasised that Ashgabat, as a modern, stable, comfortable and confidently developing city, is open to international cooperation and investment. Ashgabat, being a developed industrial city, is recognised as a unique symbol of sustainable development, security and unique beauty. Thus, this city is the center of political, socio-economic, scientific, technological development and innovation of the country, as well as the main educational and cultural center of Turkmenistan. The construction in a matter of years in the capital of many beautiful buildings that have no analogues in the world, the construction of large residential complexes for a comfortable life of our people, as well as highways that meet world standards are the fruits of the grandiose work of the state level aimed at turning Ashgabat into one of the most modern and exemplary cities in the world. Today, our white-marble capital has become a national model of modern development. As a result of the implemented construction projects and innovative initiatives, the appearance of the city and its architectural image have changed dramatically.
The heads of authoritative international organisations and companies who spoke at the conference discussed in detail modern principles and the work being done to create a modern urban infrastructure.
Within the framework of the first day of the international forum, in accordance with the relevant documents adopted by the President of Turkmenistan, the following were signed: a contract between the State Concern «Türkmenhimiýa» and the company «Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd» (Republic of Korea) for the design and turnkey construction of a complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in the structure of a chemical plant in Turkmenabat; a contract between the Ashgabat city administration and the company «Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd» (People's Republic of China) for the purchase of specialised vehicles, municipal machinery and equipment, as well as spare parts for them.
The signing of documents on cooperation with foreign partners within the framework of the international exhibition and conference dedicated to the Day of the City of Ashgabat confirms the enormous significance of the event for the development of international cooperation. All this is evidence of the consistent and effective continuation of reforms in the country aimed at industrialization, the creation of large-scale production complexes and improving the standard of living of citizens.
The second day of the conference will continue with the sessions: «Modern construction and industry: quality, technology and financing», «The role of public-private partnership in the development of construction, industry and construction of new highways», as well as «Technological innovations in the modernisation of the construction, industrial and energy sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan». The participants will comprehensively discuss the prospects for partnership in areas of interest, the successes achieved and the introduction of best practices in large-scale urban development projects implemented in the country.
In general, the events held in the International Year of Peace and Trust on the occasion of Ashgabat City Day are distinguished by their wide scope, which further strengthens its position as a centre of friendship, brotherhood and mutually beneficial cooperation.
