The 12th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among Premier League clubs ended with two matches in Ashgabat and Balkanabat.

The game in Balkanabat ended first, in which the local "Nebicthi" scored a goal in each half and beat "Ashgabat" - 2:0. The home team’s goals were scored by Serdar Tukiev (43rd minute) and Bairamgeldi Nurliev (71st).

After this victory, "Nebitchi" moved up to fifth place with 12 points, pushing "Ashgabat" down to sixth place, although the team played one match less.

In another match of the capital derby – "Altyn Asyr" beat "Kopetdag" on the opponent’s field – 3:1. The winners’ goals were scored by Rovshengeldi Khalmamedov (41st), Selim Nurmuradov (59th) and Rakhman Muratberdiev (71st). The defeated goal was scored by Didar Didarov (45th).

This victory allowed "Altyn Asyr" to match "Akhal" in points, which drew 1-1 at home with Turkmenbashi's "Shagadam" in this round. After 12 games, "Altyn Asyr" and "Akhal" share 2-3 places, 5 points behind the leader "Arkadag", who defeated Mary's "Merv" 2-0 the day before.

When it comes to "Kopetdag", having suffered its tenth defeat, it is at the bottom of the tournament table with 5 points.

The leadership in the scorers' dispute with 7 goals scored is held by "Arkadag" forwards Altymurad Annadurdiev and Didar Durdiev, 1 goal ahead of their teammate Begench Akmamedov and 2 goals ahead of Ikhlas Saparmamedov ("Arkadag") and Meylis Diniev ("Akhal"). Abdyresul Abdiev (“Merv”) and Zafar Babajanov (“Altyn Asyr”) have 4 goals each. Mekan Ashirov, Ikhlas Magtymov (both "Shagadam"), Byashim Gurbanberdiev ("Ashgabat"), Dayanch Meredov (Akhal) and Selim Nurmuradov ("Altyn Asyr") scored 3 goals each.

After these matches, there will be a two-week break in the Turkmenistan Football Championship, caused by the national team’s preparation for the upcoming 2027 Asian Cup qualifying match against the Thai team in Ashgabat on June 10.
