Turkmen tennis players will take part in the ATF 12 & Under Team Competition - Central Asia, which will be held from June 16 to 21 in Fergana, Uzbekistan, with representatives from five countries participating.

The boys' and girls' teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will compete for two spots in the final stage of the Asian Championship.

The women's team of Turkmenistan will be represented at the tournament by Nazli Hudaygulyeva, Sakhra Garakhanova, and Sulgun Ishangulyeva, while the men's team will include Yunus Annamyradov, Yegenmammet Nuryagdyev, and Erkin Altyev. The team captains will be the head coaches of the national teams: Yuriy Rogusskiy (for the girls) and Mirali Gasanov (for the boys).

It is worth recalling that two years ago, a similar tournament for boys and girls under 12 was successfully held in Ashgabat. At that time, the regional championship, which included teams from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, was called a standard and exemplary model of competition organization by the leaders of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). The venue was the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village in Ashgabat, which by ATF decision was recognized as the "Training Center of the Asian Region." The corresponding certificate was presented at a solemn event held on June 1, 2024, in the capital by Seyed Amir Borghei, a representative of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for tennis development in Asia.

According to ATF Vice President Eziz Dovletov, a regional Level 2 coaching seminar will be held from August 4 to 15 of this year at the Asian Training Center in the Turkmen capital with the support of the ITF. National specialists holding a Level 1 coaching degree, as well as coaches from other Asian countries, will participate in the seminar.
