The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, with the support of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Ashgabat, in partnership with the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, conducted a four-day online seminar for representatives of national ministries, departments and relevant institutions involved in monitoring and reporting on the Sustainable Development Goals.
The purpose of the workshop was to strengthen national capacities in methodology, data collection and implementation of SDG priority indicators. Within the framework of the event, indicators related to water resources management, sustainable agriculture, support for small-scale food producers and the sustainability of fish resources were considered in detail.

UN experts presented international methodologies and proposed strategies for adapting these approaches to national interests. Particular attention was paid to practical exercises, including working with Excel, an analysis of current challenges in collecting and interpreting data, and a discussion of ways to integrate these indicators into national reporting systems.
The final day was devoted to practical issues.
