Six more medals - 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze - replenished the piggy bank of the national team of Turkmenistan on the third day of the competition at the WKF Central Asian Karate Championship in Bishkek.

The serviceman of the Ministry of Defense Arzuv Seyitguliev (kumite in weight category to 55 kg) and the 6th year student of the Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute Bayri Bayriev (kumite, to 84 kg) who is engaged in karate at trainer Nazmammet Satlykguliev rose to the highest step of a podium in our team.

Silver medals were awarded to the soldier of the security service of the President of Turkmenistan Resul Garataev (kumite, up to 55 kg) and the 4th year student of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Davut Nazmyradov (kumite, up to 75 kg). Both athletes improve their skills under the guidance of Nazmammet Satlykguliev.

The bronze awards were won by a 10th grade student of secondary school No. 16 with in-depth study of foreign languages   of the etrap Ak Bugdai of the Akhal velayat Gurbannazar Amandurdiev (kumite among juniors, up to 55 kg, coach Amangeldi Byashimov) and an employee of the Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan Shatlyk Allakov (kumite among adults, over 84 kg, coach Mergen Nuriev).

Earlier on the first day of the competition, Turkmen karatekas won 7 medals (2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze) in kata, and on the second day - another 5 medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze) in kumite.

The 10th WKF Central Asian Karate Championship features 609 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan contesting medals among cadets, juniors and adults in the kata (formal exercise demonstration) and kumite (duels) disciplines. The team of Turkmenistan is represented by 36 athletes.
