A delegation from Turkmenistan, which included representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Academy of Sciences, local government bodies, and other institutions, paid a working visit to Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the trip was to exchange experience with Uzbek colleagues in the fields of sustainable agriculture, water resource management, and land restoration. The visit was organized within the framework of the project "Conservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Nature Value Ecosystems in the Aral Sea Basin for Multiple Benefits," which is being implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan in partnership with UNDP Turkmenistan and the Global Environment Facility.

Participants gained practical knowledge of climate-resilient farming methods and the application of innovative irrigation systems. In addition, specialists from Turkmenistan visited training centers and government institutions in Uzbekistan to discuss regional cooperation in the Amu Darya basin.
