The UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCPDCA) in Ashgabat organized an interactive virtual session for the 2025 cohort of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy, dedicated to the active involvement of youth in peacebuilding processes and strengthening security.
The event brought together young leaders from Central Asian countries and Afghanistan as part of the implementation of the global agenda "Women, Peace and Security." The session took place in the anniversary year — the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.
Participants discussed the practical implementation of the global agenda "Women, Peace and Security" in the region, as well as the interconnection between the global agendas "Women, Peace and Security" and "Youth, Peace and Security."
During the session, the activities of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian countries under the UNRCPDCA were presented, which is regarded as an important platform for enhancing the role of women and ensuring inclusive decision-making at all levels.
