One of the significant events of the current year was the opening of the Balkanabat International Airport on May 2. It is located just a few kilometers from the "Mollagara" sanatorium, which created a number of advantages for visitors to the health resort.

Strengthening the material and technical base of the famous sanatorium "Mollagara", equipping it with advanced medical equipment fully meets the needs of our people in sanatorium-resort treatment and rest. The natural resources of the health resort are therapeutic mud and mineral waters, rich in healing salts.
The modern complex of buildings of the sanatorium includes a six-storey main building with a total capacity of 500 beds. There is also a medical and diagnostic building, a two-storey cosmetology center, a hotel for 170 beds, a reconstructed two-storey medical and rehabilitation building, a building with a children's department for 30 beds, a canteen for 250 seats, a library, an Internet cafe, restaurants, shops. In addition, for the employees of the sanatorium there are six residential buildings, each of which is designed for 123 apartments, there are auxiliary buildings.
In addition to mud therapy, salt baths, physiotherapy, exercise therapy and diagnostics departments, the treatment complex offers procedures using cold air flow, high atmospheric pressure, hot sand of the Garagum, ozone, hot stones, as well as inhalation procedures with salt and mineral air. The main focus is on the treatment of diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, gynecological, genitourinary system, rheumatism.
Hot mud procedures have a beneficial effect on health and treatment of various diseases. Alternating mud and mineral baths can significantly alleviate symptoms of salt deposits in the knee joints, and helps relieve pain in the lumbar spine. When heated and applied correctly, mud becomes a unique means of preventing and treating colds, relieving ear pain, and eliminating skin rashes. The complex, equipped with modern medical equipment, provides rehabilitation and treatment for people with spinal and bone injuries.
The lake located on its territory plays a significant role in the popularity of the sanatorium. It is no exaggeration to say that nowhere in the world is there a place with the same healing properties as the silt mud and salt water of this lake. Its shores, covered with dense thickets of tamarisk, are surrounded by sandy soil, where unique natural forms reign. This indicates that this beautiful corner of our Motherland is distinguished not only by its healing waters and mud, but also by clean sand, a favorable ecological environment, which in themselves are an invaluable source of healing.
In the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag "Scientific Foundations of Healthcare Development in Turkmenistan" the natural resources of the sanatorium "Mollagara" are highly appreciated. It should be noted that on the basis of the multi-volume scientific encyclopedia of Hero Arkadag "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" various medicinal preparations are being developed, distinguished by their high quality and effectiveness.
Occupying an area of 30 hectares, the sanatorium is a unique resort town. There are specialized centers for cultural recreation of guests, an amphitheater, a beauty salon, a hairdresser, a swimming pool, a hammam, a sauna, billiards and tennis halls, sports grounds and other amenities, which positively affects the effectiveness of spa treatment. All facilities of the complex are equipped with modern medical equipment and the necessary resources.
