In Turkmenistan, large-scale efforts are being undertaken to develop the healthcare system, which plays a key role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. These efforts aim to elevate the sector to the international level, equip this important field with advanced medical equipment, and enhance the professional skills of medical personnel. The celebrations of the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers inspire our compatriots working in this field.
The organization of events to mark the professional holiday of healthcare workers reflects the deep respect for the extensive work carried out by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, doctor Arkadag, and now being implemented by President Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the field of public health. One such event, which reflects the essence of the comprehensive efforts in the country’s healthcare sector, was the competition “Öz käriniň ussady” (“Master of One’s Craft”), jointly organized by the Lebap velayat Trade Union Association of Turkmenistan and the Lebap velayat Department of Sanitation and Sanitary-Epidemiological Supervision.
The competition was held with the aim of highlighting the content of the state-level programs in public health, improving the professional level of healthcare workers, identifying experienced personnel, sharing their expertise with other healthcare institutions, and in honor of the professional holiday of healthcare workers. Seventeen teams from the sanitary-epidemiological service departments of etraps and cities within the velayat participated.
The participants competed in three stages: an artistic representation of the large-scale efforts of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar in developing the national healthcare system, showcasing their achievements; answering questions related to the contents of the scientific and encyclopedic work “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” by doctor Arkadag, as well as questions about the medical profession; performing a stage presentation dedicated to a specific infectious disease and measures for its prevention.
The competition, held in a spirit of rivalry and enthusiasm, demonstrated the high professionalism of the participants and confirmed that the work being carried out in this direction meets the current demands. Based on the results, the best performances were shown by the sanitary-epidemiological service teams from the cities of Turkmenabat and Gazojak, and from the Sayat etrap, who took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places respectively. The winners were awarded commemorative gifts by the Lebap velayat Trade Union Association.
