Turkmen University Hosts Meeting with Representative of Kent State University (USA)

The International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) hosted a meeting with a representative of Kent State University (USA) working in Central Asia.

The meeting was attended by members of the university’s administration and leadership.

During the event, the guest was provided with detailed information about the university’s history, structure, international cooperation, and research activities.

In turn, the representative of Kent State University expressed gratitude to the university’s administration for their warm and hospitable reception. She emphasized that establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between the universities of the two countries is one of her key priorities. Expressing readiness to further develop the partnership with the International University for the Humanities and Development in relevant areas, the Kent representative noted that all necessary steps will be taken to strengthen collaboration in this direction.

The parties discussed in detail plans and objectives for future joint activities, noting the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives and the importance of this partnership.

As is known, in October of last year, Kent State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International University for the Humanities and Development. The document outlines cooperation in the implementation of joint research projects, educational programs, student exchanges, and other priority initiatives.

To further expand bilateral academic cooperation, in June of this year, a delegation from Kent State University led by Vice President Marcello Fantoni visited the Turkmen university.

Currently, within the framework of the Memorandum, the two universities are actively developing Turkmenistan’s first-ever dual-degree master’s program in Business Administration, marking a significant milestone in the country’s higher education system.

It is also worth noting that, based on other Memorandums of Understanding, Kent State University actively cooperates with the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

The partnership between Kent State University and Turkmen higher educational institutions has proven to be productive across several priority areas, including the expansion of academic programs, the creation of joint educational and research initiatives, the implementation of collaborative projects, and the strengthening of cultural exchanges between the two countries.
