The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan hosted an Open Brain Ring competition, involving students from higher education institutions across the country, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the upcoming New Year 2026.

The intellectual game, titled "Hemişelik Bitaraplyk – Baky bagtyýarlyk" ("Permanent Neutrality – Eternal Prosperity"), was organized by the university with support from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The brain ring event brought together the best teams from 18 universities, with over 100 participants eager to showcase their knowledge and impress with their erudition. To support the participants and observe the game, the event also attracted a large audience, including faculty members, students, reserve teams from participating universities, and other guests.

The teams were presented with a variety of interesting questions on topics such as Turkmenistan's neutrality, its role and significance, international relations, national symbols, as well as New Year traditions in different countries, cultural features, curious facts, and the history of the holiday.

The game was conducted in Turkmen, English, and Russian, and consisted of three rounds, with 12 questions in each round. In total, participants faced 36 intellectual questions. The teams competed vigorously, aiming to outpace each other and quickly provide correct answers, working actively with a focus on time and results. Players had just one minute for reflection, discussion, and response.

At the end of the Brain Ring, the first place was awarded to the teams from the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the International University of Humanities and Development. Second place was shared by teams from the Turkmen State University named after Magtumguly and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Third place went to the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.

As noted by the organizers, the Brain Ring event showcased a vibrant competition between worthy opponents. The teams' strong desire for leadership and victory, their high levels of activity, and the intense participation of the young intellectuals all contributed to a challenging task for the jury in selecting the best participants. However, thanks to the sometimes tense, lively, and competitive atmosphere, the game turned out to be truly exciting and entertaining, providing positive emotions and a festive mood for all participants and the numerous guests at the university.

The student Brain Ring was organized with the aim of deepening young people's understanding of the importance of Turkmenistan’s neutral status, the principles of building international relations based on peace, trust, and mutual understanding, fostering patriotism, broadening worldviews, strengthening friendly ties between students from different universities, enhancing their knowledge levels, and discovering talents and abilities, as well as developing intellectual and logical thinking among the youth.
