Students from Turkmenistan Win Prizes at the 6th International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics in Nanjing

The 6th International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics for university students was held in the city of Nanjing, People’s Republic of China, from December 4 to 8. The competition was organized by Hohai University.

More than 600 students from 66 universities around the world took part in this prestigious international event.

Turkmenistan was represented at the Olympiad by two students of the State Energy Institute of the country — Dursunjemal Ataeva and Myahriban Azadova.

As a result of the competition, both students won second place in the individual standings and second place in the team standings, demonstrating excellent knowledge of theoretical mechanics and a high level of academic preparation.

The prize-winning results of our students added to the rich collection of achievements of Turkmenistan’s talented student youth, who actively and successfully demonstrate their intellectual abilities in various international competitions.

The outstanding performance of the participants from Turkmenistan in this prestigious contest became yet another vivid testament to the constant attention paid in our country to the comprehensive development of young people, the enhancement and encouragement of their talents, the improvement of the national education system, and the solution of priority tasks in this field.
