The gold medal in mathematics was awarded to Hemra Gurbanov, a 10th-grade student of Secondary School No. 86 in Ashgabat.

The Olympiad, organized by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has been held annually since 2005 and traditionally contributes to the popularization of the physical and mathematical sciences among school students, the strengthening of international cooperation, and the exchange of experience among educational institutions.

This year, more than 600 gifted school students from 16 countries around the world took part in the Olympiad, including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and other countries.

A team of 28 school students represented Turkmenistan with distinction at the Olympiad venue, demonstrating excellent knowledge, creative abilities, and a high level of preparation across all subject areas of the competition.

The outstanding result achieved by Turkmen school students at the Olympiad became the first significant international achievement of Turkmen youth in the new year 2026 and once again underscored the constant aspiration and readiness of the country’s talented younger generation to conquer new heights and enhance the authority of our Motherland on the global stage.
