The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan invites students from higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries to participate in the 5th Open International Internet Olympiad in the discipline “Theoretical Mechanics.”
The Olympiad will be held in the form of individual and team competitions from March 24 to March 28. Participant registration will remain open until March 15.
The Olympiad is open to all interested students, regardless of their field of study or year of education. Each higher education institution may nominate up to 10 students for the individual competition. In the team competition, one or two teams may participate, each consisting of no more than five students, formed from one or several universities.
The International Olympiad will be conducted in Turkmen, Russian, and English.
Eight problems covering sections of theoretical mechanics have been prepared for participants in the individual competition. Two problems relate to Statics, two to Kinematics, and four to Dynamics. Participants will be given 240 minutes to solve the problems.
In the team competition, participants will be offered five problems from the same sections of theoretical mechanics, which must be solved within 60 minutes.
The tasks for both the individual and team competitions will be posted in a dedicated section of the institute’s website according to the established schedule during the days of the Olympiad.

The primary goals of the Olympiad include identifying and supporting young talents, strengthening international scientific cooperation, exchanging experience, and improving educational methodologies.
The upcoming Olympiad will be one of the major international intellectual competitions scheduled to take place in March at leading higher education institutions of the country.
The competition will bring together representatives of talented student youth, as well as faculty members from leading universities of Turkmenistan and foreign countries.
The Open International Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, held annually by the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, serves as an effective platform for strengthening friendly relations and exchanging knowledge among students, stimulating creative and scientific activity, developing digital literacy and independent learning skills among young people, and organizing joint scientific discussions involving professors, instructors, and university students.
Last year, the international competition brought together more than 700 talented students from 22 universities of Turkmenistan and 85 universities from 17 foreign countries.
