At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on digital communications, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov advocated holding a series of major international intellectual competitions in Turkmenistan at the leading universities of the country.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyyeva reported on the progress of preparations for international Olympiads at higher education institutions across the country.

Thus, in March of this year, Turkmenistan will host participants in three prestigious scientific-in-depth Olympiads.

These are the V Open International internet-Olympiad in the discipline «Strength of materials» at the Turkmen state institute of architecture and construction, the VI Open international mathematical Olympiad at the International University for humanities and development, and the V Open International internet Olympiad in the discipline «Theoretical mechanics» at the State institute of energy of Turkmenistan.

The competition will be attended not only by the best students and professors of Turkmenistan, but also by representatives of leading higher education institutions of the world. As B. Orazdurdyyeva noted, these events are designed to address the challenges of identifying and supporting young talent, strengthening international scientific cooperation, sharing experiences, and improving educational methods.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals, emphasising the importance of such forums for integrating the national education system into the global scientific community, and gave corresponding instructions for their organisation at a high level.
