On the 26th of January, as part of a working visit to Turkmenistan, a delegation led by Salem Nasser Al Nuaimi, Rector of the Doha university of science and technology (Qatar), visited the Institute of telecommunications and informatics (ITI) of Turkmenistan to develop scientific and educational cooperation.
On the side-lines of the meeting, a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of understanding on scientific and academic cooperation between the ITI and the Doha university of science and technology (Qatar) took place.
The signing of the document aims to advance scientific and educational cooperation between the Turkmen and Qatari universities to a qualitatively new level.

Following the bilateral event, the Rector of the Doha university of science and technology (DUST) gave a joint lecture for faculty and students of the ITI. The head of the Qatari university provided a detailed overview of the academic and scientific work carried out at the university, after which he spoke with professors, faculty, and students of the Turkmen university and answered their questions.
The guests from Qatar visited the exhibition of the institute, where they learned about research projects and software developments developed by the faculty and students of the university. The delegation also took a tour of the museum of institute, which introduced them to the history of the Turkmen university.
On the 27th of January, a delegation from the Doha university of science and technology visited the University of engineering and technology of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han.

Representatives from the Qatari and Turkmen universities held bilateral consultations to establish effective cooperation in science and education.
During the meeting, attention was focused on key areas of specialist training in accordance with international standards. The guests were briefed on the research activities of the university. The Qatari side expressed particular interest in expanding cooperation in the areas of artificial intelligence, eSports, robotics, and electronics.
Meeting participants emphasized the practical significance of existing cooperation agreements between the University of engineering and technology of Turkmenistan named after Oguz han and leading universities and large companies around the world.

In this regard, the parties discussed the prospects of signing a Memorandum of understanding, as well as a Memorandum of understanding on student exchange, which are intended to be an important step in developing and strengthening Turkmen-Qatari ties in science and education.
As part of the working visit to Turkmenistan, the Qatari delegation, led by the Rector of the Doha university of science and technology, Salem Nasser Al Nuaimi, also met with the Minister of education of Turkmenistan, J. Gurbangeldiyev, to discuss in detail the opportunities, priority areas, and plans for joint cooperation in science and education.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of parties and mutual interest in further strengthening scientific and academic ties between Turkmenistan and Qatar.
