Ambassador of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China Chiar Rustamova as well as the specialists of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan together with their children and Turkmen students, studying in the higher educational institutions in Beijing visited the Shijiazhua elementary school in Beijing.
The visit was organized in the context of the development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education. The Chinese schoolchildren arranged the school tour, demonstrated the school museum exhibits to the Turkmen guests and told them about their creative and sports achievements and participation in the intellectual contests.
The school principle and Party Committee Secretary familiarized the guests with the history of the school as well as the teaching aspects and school traditions.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan told about the role of our country in the history of the Great Silk Road and the various events, dedicated to the motto of the year of 2018 “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road”. The status and prospects of cooperation, including in the scientific and educational sphere were highlighted, and the opportunities for establishing direct contacts and implementing exchange programmes between the schools of Turkmenistan and China were discussed.
The children of embassy staff and Chinese students recited poems and sang songs in the Turkmen, English and Chinese languages. Ambassador of Turkmenistan Chinar Rustamova presented the books by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" in the English and Russian languages to the school, and the Turkmen national sweets and souvenirs to children.
The Shijiazhua elementary school ranks among the top schools in China. The fact that the school students are invited to the official ceremonies of greeting the distinguished foreign guests testifies to the high prestige of the school. At present, the school has established the direct contacts with the leading secondary schools in Europe, Asia and Africa.
