Tashkent hosts the meeting between the Heads of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with the participation of the Governments

Turkmen – Uzbek high-level extended talks with the participation of official delegations of two countries have started in Kuksaroy Residence, Tashkent. Prior the talks, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev had one-on-one meeting.

Current visit of Turkmen leader to Uzbekistan is considered as a milestone event in the relations between two countries. Its main objective is to activate bilateral cooperation, to define the ways of interstate cooperation in Central Asian region and in international arena in general taking into account new realities and tendencies of development.

At present, the relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are under good development. Owing to the efforts of the sites, specific and actual measures on consolidation of the relations in foreign policy have been taken recently; new mechanisms of trade and economic partnership have started working while humanitarian contacts are expanded. The level of bilateral relations, their trustful character, sincerity and transparency allow constructive discussion of all appearing issues and finding of mutually accepted solutions.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are allies and accountable partners in formation of the approaches to current issues of regional and global development.

The Agreement on Cooperation between the Governments and departments of two countries is planned to be signed by the outcomes of the talks.

After, the heads of the state will speak to the press.

The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will also take part in the opening ceremony of Ashgabat Park in Tashkent.
