Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan adopt number of documents on cooperation

Bilateral documents were signed by the outcomes of Turkmen – Uzbek high-level talks in Tashkent.

The Programme of cooperation in transport sphere in 2018 – 2020 and the Programme of Scientific and Technical cooperation in 2019 – 2020 were adopted on inter-governmental level. The Agreement on Sanatorium and Health improving treatment of children in Avaza National tourism zone was signed.

The Government and Turkmenistan and the Government of Uzbekistan also signed the Memorandum on AN transit and Agreement on interregional cooperation. The Protocol on Amendments and Addendums of the Agreement on crossing Turkmen – Uzbek Border by people servicing the facilities located in frontier zones of November 2014 was signed.

The Programme of cooperation for 2019 between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, the Agreement on establishment of Trade Houses of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in sport sphere, Agreement on cooperation in quarantine of plants, Agreement on establishment of Business Council were adopted on the level of ministries and departments. The Protocol on approval of the Action Plan for cooperation in standardization in 2018 was signed. The Institute of Strategic and Sustainable development of the Ministry of Finances and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the republic of Uzbekistan signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

It is remarkable that number of bilateral documents was supplemented by the memorandums between non-governmental organizations of both countries – youth, trade union and women associations.

Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted Joint Statement.

The Agreement between the Ministry of Communication of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan on technical renewal of radio frequencies and Memorandum on Cooperation between Turkmenistan State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography and National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan were also signed under the state visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan.

Besides, the signing of the Memorandums and Agreements on cooperation were signed between the following educational institutes of two countries:

Oguzkhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute;

Turkmenistan State Energy Institute and Tashkent Islam Karimov State Technical University;

Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications and Tashkent Institute of Road Project Planning, Contraction and Exploitation;

Turkmen Agricultural University and Tashkent State Agrarian University;

Turkmen Agricultural University and Tashkent Irrigation and Melioration Institute;

Turkmen Agricultural Institute and Tashkent State Agrarian University;

Turkmen State Agricultural Institute and Samarkand Agricultural Institute;

Turkmen State Institute of economics and Management and Tashkent State Economic University;

International Oil and Gas University and Tashkent State Technical University;

Turkmen State Financial Institute and Tashkent State Institute;

Seyitnazar Seydi urkmen State Pedagogical Institute and Bukhara State University;

Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Uzbek State University of World Languages;

Institute of Municipal Services of Turkmenistan and Tashkent Architecture And Construction Institute.
