Ambassador of Vietnam is accredited to Turkmenistan

On instructions from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Mejlis Chairperson G. Mammedova has accepted credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Turkmenistan Ngo Duc Manh.

On behalf of the head of state, the Speaker of the national parliament congratulated the guest on his appointment to the responsible diplomatic post, and wished him success in promoting the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Highly praising the wide-reaching changes taking place in Turkmenistan, the Ambassador of Vietnam passed on best wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan from the leadership of his country.

In the course of the meeting, the ambassador was informed about the major trends of Turkmenistan’s state policy, whose underlying principle is to establish mutually rewarding partnership with interested states, and was also offered some insight into the large-scale reforms and programs ongoing in the country.

Showing keen interest in the progressive reforms in modern Turkmenistan, Mr. Ngo Duc Manh has highlighted that he feels honored to represent his country in the state, which is known for its peace-making efforts and has achieved impressive progress in the political and socio-economic development. While on the subject of prospects for cooperation between

Turkmenistan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the ambassador noted that his country is seeking to boost the interaction both in the bilateral format and within authoritative organizations.

The ambassador of the friendly country was introduced to the Turkmen parliament’s institutional structure and its legislative activity, and the practice of establishing international contacts.

Having voiced his country’s strong desire to enhance trade-economic and cultural cooperation with Turkmenistan, Mr. Ngo Duc Manh stressed that he would dedicate his energy and time to successfully advance Turkmen-Vietnamese dialogue.

At the end of the meeting, the diplomat expressed confidence that the relations between the two countries would rise to a new level to meet present-day requirements and mutual interests.

As part of his visit to Ashgabat, the ambassador was received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the possibilities of expanding partnership between Turkmenistan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in various areas.
