International conference dedicated to Science Day

In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state in Turkmenistan, large-scale work is being carried out to develop the scientific sphere, introduce scientific achievements and innovative technologies into all sectors, and implement international cooperation in this area. The widespread celebration of Science Day in our sovereign Fatherland on the 12th of June is a clear confirmation of high appreciation of the state of the work of scientists who contribute to the prosperity of the country.

To mark the holiday, various events are held, including international forums, which provide an effective platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The Turkmen state pedagogical institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi, one of the oldest institutes of the country, hosted an international online conference, «Science and education in the XXI century». The forum was attended by approximately 350 representatives of the faculty and research staff from more than 50 higher education institutions, as well as scientific institutions from 15 countries, including the USA, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Türkiye, China, Japan, Afghanistan, Iran, India, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. It should be noted that over 150 conference participants are foreign scientists, which confirms its high international status.

Holding this large-scale forum in three languages – Turkmen, English, and Russian – significantly increased its effectiveness. The conference, which covered various fields of science, was organised into five sections: «History, social sciences, and cultural heritage», «Modern methods of educating the young generation», «Modern problems of philology», «Natural sciences and sustainable development in ecology», and «Exact sciences and digital technologies».

Participants in the international forum emphasised its dynamic nature, noting that the dialogue allowed for the exchange of best practices. This opens up broad prospects for new scientific research.
