Priorities initiated by Hero-Arkadag and the policy pursued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - expansion of mutually beneficial partnership and humanitarian relations in interests of universal peace, well-being, progress, social and economic prosperity of our fatherland and maintenance of happy life of people found their reflection in the events of the past week.

On June 1, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting to consider the state of affairs in the agrarian sector and regions of the country.

The head of the state gave a number of concrete instructions to organise the seasonal actions with observance of agro-technical standards and to carry out the grain harvesting campaigns within optimum terms.

At the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan congratulated silkworm breeders of the country who have produced over 2 thousand 100 tons of cocoons of silkworm and have successfully fulfilled their state production plans, with their labour victory.

The start of the summer season was marked in our fatherland with celebration of International Children's Day. The basic festivities were held in the capital in the Ashgabat cultural-entertaining centre.

In festive events which were filled with pleasure, fun, songs and musical programs, along with children, members of the Government, heads of a number of ministries and sectoral departments, public organisations of the country, heads and members of families of the foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and international organisations took part.

The speakers underlined that in Turkmenistan, thanks to constant care of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of the state, children are surrounded by huge love and attention. The importance of the activity of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov created under the initiative and thanks to efforts of Hero-Arkadag was especially marked.

In the Mukam Palace of the State culture centre of Turkmenistan on the occasion of International Children's Day, the song and musical event was been organised.

Children of the Children's home in Ashgabat, which was given the name Arkadag gyzy Gurbangül by the advice of the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the eve of sacred Gurban bayramy, was presented with the a certificate confirming her new name, along with festive gifts by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

Besides it, children, who are improving their health in the Children health and rehabilitation centre named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Arkadag city, also received gifts on behalf of Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

Children of the capital Palace «Döwletliler köşgi» also received gifts on behalf of Arkadagly Hero Serdar and the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Festive events on the occasion of International Children's Day were also organized widely in Arkadag city. Young talents displayed their vocal and dancing skills and gladdened with their sports skills in demonstration performances and national games and imagination in creative competitions. The performance of the Galkynysh group of national horse games became a highlight of the holiday.

On June 3, in Turkmenistan, World Bicycle Day was widely celebrated. In the mass bicycle ride, which took place in the capital, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part and it increased the significance of the sports event.

Chairwoman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and sectoral departments, capital administration, public organisations, mass media, rectors of higher educational institutions participated in the bicycle ride. Heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in our country and international organisations also joined them.

The route of the large-scale sports action starting at the monument "Bicycle", located on the crossroad of Chandibil Avenue and Bekreve Street, passed through the picturesque avenues of Chandibil and Bitarap Turkmenistan and ended in the centre of the capital, on the square at the Rukhyet Palace.

In the column, bicyclists were followed by children of the School for training of young Olympians and comprehensive schools, members of the national cycling team, student youth, and representatives of the public.

With big enthusiasm, children of the Palace «Döwletliler köşgi», who at present spend their holidays in the children's health centre "Chynar" in Gökdere, took part in the bicycle ride. Following the example of the President of Turkmenistan, they covered the route by bicycles presented on behalf of Hero-Arkadag and the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On June 4, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the regular meeting of the State Security Council to consider results of the work of military and law enforcement bodies of the country for first five months of the current year. Several issues, connected with security and peace in our independent fatherland, the strengthening of the material and technical basis of security structures and further perfection of their activity were also discussed.

During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country signed the Decree «On appointment and release of judges of courts of Turkmenistan and on assignment of qualifying classes».

On June 4, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Eric Stewart, the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, who is currently visiting our country.

Priority areas of bilateral partnership were discussed. The businessman confirmed interest of business circles of the USA in the further activization of interaction with Turkmenistan.

As was marked, one of the key vectors of interstate relations is trade and economic cooperation where Turkmenistan has positive experience of partnership with such world famous companies, as «Boeing», «General Electric», «John Deere», «Case New Holland», and «Nicklaus Design».

Concrete plans of joint work in key areas of interaction were developed during the Turkmen-American business forum, which was held in the format of "a round table» in Ashgabat in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.

Among priority vectors of partnership were trading-investment activity, including the industrial complex, agriculture, deliveries of the equipment for the agro-industrial complex and water management. The big prospects are available in fuel and energy, transport-communication, construction sectors, in the area of innovative technologies, cybersecurity, public health services, and preservation of the environment. The presence of possibilities to bring up Turkmen-American relations to a new level in investments and increase in mutual goods turnover was marked.

The Turkmen-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA) created in May of this year will add existing platforms of interaction between two countries.

On the margins of the forum, bilateral meetings between representatives of profile ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and the American business community were held.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye and Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission for Economic Cooperation from the Turkish side, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit.

As was pointed out during the meeting, today brotherly Turkmen-Turkish relations possess a wide experience and serve as a strong basis to successful realisation of priority goals in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The special attention was attached to cooperation in the field of introduction of high technologies and latest achievements of science in various branches, and consecutive modernisation of national economies. At that, the importance of the activity of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission, Business council as well as exhibitions, held on a bilateral basis was also marked.

Issues of further development of interaction in perspective areas were also discussed in the ninth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission on economic cooperation.

The transport-logistics sphere and power sector were designated as key vectors of the interstate relations. It was especially underlined that interaction in these areas, along with strengthening economy of two countries, will allow providing energy and transporting security in the entire Eurasian region.

Possibilities of continuation of fruitful cooperation were in details discussed during bilateral meetings of heads of profile ministries and departments.

On June 5, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up the work carried out for five months of the current.

As was informed, during the accounting period, the rate of increase of GDP made up 6,3 percent, including in the industrial complex this indicator was equal to 2,6 percent, construction - 6,4 percent, transport-communication sector - 10,2 percent, trade - 7,9 percent, agriculture - 1,3 percent, the sphere of services - 8,4 percent.

The volume of production as compared to the similar period of the past year, grew by 10,4 percent. In all sectors of economy, positive industrial indicators were reached.

During the considered period, retail goods turnover as compared with the same period of the past year increased by 10 percent, and foreign trade turnover - 8 percent.

The plan for the revenues part of the State budget was executed by 102,3 percent, and the expenditures part - 97,3 percent.

In the state institutions financed at the expense of the budget and self-financing, the salaries and pensions, welfare payments and student scholarships were paid in due time.

For five months of the current year, the volume of capital investments made at the expense of all sources of financing, increased by 5,1 percent.

Within realisation of the national rural redevelopment program, construction of different projects function is also carried out.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined the significance of steps taken with a view of social and economic development of the country and sustainable increase of standards of living of citizens, perfection of activity of economic, financial and bank complexes and instructed to take necessary measures to maintain the rate of increase of GDP at the target level till the end of the year.

Last week, the President of Turkmenistan signed Resolutions, according to which the National program on transformation of Turkmenistan into the free country from tobacco for 2026-2030 and the National forest program of Turkmenistan for 2026-2030, and the Plans of actions on their realisation were approved.

On June 5, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, who was visiting our country.

During the meeting, it was noticed that the Turkmen-Azerbaijan cooperation actively develops in a political-diplomatic, trade and economic areas. The cultural-humanitarian interaction takes a special place on the agenda of bilateral activities. As was underlined, mutual Days of culture promote rapprochement of our people and strengthening of friendship between two countries.

Having expressed confidence that the general historical and cultural heritage will form a strong basis for deepening the interstate dialogue, the President of Turkmenistan confirmed adherence of our country to further cooperation with brotherly Azerbaijan.

Days of culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan with big success were held in Ashgabat and Arkadag cities.

On the sidelines of the cultural event, concerts, including joint musical, folklore and dancing groups, exhibition of decorative and applied arts and fine art «The Pearl of the national heritage of Azerbaijan» and photo works, the scientific conference devoted to the heritage of poets-classics of two countries, creative meetings, display of the Azerbaijan feature films took place.

If one looks through other events of the past week, it is necessary to mark that on June 3, the grain-harvesting campaign of 2026 was given a start with participation of honourable elders in the festive atmosphere. Grain growers of Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats started the grain harvesting campaigns.

The international exhibition-fair «Turkmentextile Expo-2026» was also held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.

In the exhibition, about 110 exhibitors took part. They included enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs working in the given sphere, and foreign companies - manufacturers and suppliers of the profile equipment, dyes and chemicals for textile industry, raw materials, packing and industrial materials.

Within the exhibition-fair, display of collections of local and world designers, master classes with their participation took place.

At meetings of heads of corresponding departments of our country with foreign businessmen, opportunities for cooperation in the further strengthening of the material and technical basis of the textile branch and its maintenance with necessary resources were discussed.

The international scientific-practical conference «Ecological well-being and international cooperation» in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers », held in the building of the agricultural complex of the country, was timed to World Environment Day.

In the event, heads of profile ministries and public organisations of Turkmenistan, and heads and representatives of authoritative international and regional organisations, including the United Nations and its specialised structures took part.

Interaction in maintenance of steady management with natural resources, biodiversity preservation, and formation of ecological culture in society were discussed.

The special attention was given to issues of perfection of ecological legislation and increase of efficiency of interstate agreements, transition into "green" economy, advancements of effective solutions in the field of ease of consequences of climate change.

Thus, events of the past week once again displayed the success of socially focused policy realised by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov based on the powerful economic potential of the country, achievement of scientific and technical progress, the unique historical and cultural heritage of the nation, creative spirit, energy and purposefulness of people, especially the younger generation.
