Books Donated to Turkmen Agricultural University Under the “Read Japan” Project

A book donation ceremony was held at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University as part of the “Read Japan” project of The Nippon Foundation.

The event was attended by Hiroshi Sasaki, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan, along with representatives of the Japanese Embassy.

Among the donated publications were valuable educational, scientific, theoretical, and literary works devoted to Japanese science, environmental protection, sustainable development goals, clean energy, and green technologies. The new collection also included dictionaries and books on Japanese culture, art, language, and literature.

During the event, the distinguished guests were given a detailed introduction to the structure, academic programs, and scientific and creative activities of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. Representatives from friendly Japan reaffirmed their strong interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation and implementing joint projects with the Turkmen university in the future.

At a meeting between the Japanese guests and the university’s leadership and faculty members, it was particularly emphasized that Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the fields of science and education is developing steadily and successfully in line with modern requirements.

As both sides noted, the traditional donation of books to Turkmen universities within the framework of the “Read Japan” project serves as a vivid testament to the continued strengthening of humanitarian, cultural, and educational cooperation between the two friendly countries.
