Recently, lecturers from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan have been participating in the “KatipAta” Program. The Program has recently taken on particular significance in expanding international academic cooperation, enhancing professional competencies and strengthening humanitarian ties among the countries of the Turkic world. The Turkish language program is designed for civil servants and scholars from the Turkic world and is implemented by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities in cooperation with Hacettepe University.
The Program also aims to develop linguistic and intercultural ties among civil servants, diplomats, lecturers, researchers and members of the academic community from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Its key objective is not only to promote in-depth study of the Turkish language, but also to establish lasting professional contacts, expand the exchange of knowledge and experience, and create new opportunities for cooperation among institutions in the countries of the Turkic world.
As part of the Program, participants undertake intensive Turkish language courses, attend lectures and thematic seminars delivered by leading lecturers and experts, and learn about Türkiye’s history, culture and socio-political life. Particular emphasis is placed on meetings with representatives of government institutions, research centers, universities and analytical organizations, as well as on cultural and educational activities.
Thus, “KatipAta” serves not only as an effective educational platform but also as an important instrument for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding and long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye, contributing to the development of the humanitarian and intellectual potential of the Turkic world.
