On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan G. Mammedova received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ebrahim Yusuf Al Abdullah.
On behalf of the Turkmen leader, the head of the national parliament congratulated the guest on the appointment as the head of the diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan and wished him every success in his work aimed at strengthening the ties of friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
Thanking for the cordial welcome, the diplomat conveyed the best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan from the heads of his country and assured that he would apply every effort to further enhance and widen the interstate relations, traditionally built up on the positions of equality, trust and mutual respect.
According to the diplomat, the Kingdom of Bahrain highly evaluates and supports the active peace-loving policy pursued by the Turkmen leader and the important international initiatives, put forward by the President of Turkmenistan with the aim to strengthen the stability and sustainable development, address the global transport, energy and environmental tasks of the present time.
In the framework of the meeting, the Ambassador was familiarized with the key vectors of the foreign and internal policies of Turkmenistan, the progress of the implementation of the ambitious social and economic programnes and projects to ensure the wellbeing of the people and develop the constructive international partnership.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation and the prospects of the fruitful cooperation between the two friendly countries that have the wide infrastructural opportunities and export potential.
Particular attention was paid to the enhancement of the interparliamentary relations and exchange of accumulated law-making experience in the context of the partnership between Turkmenistan and Bahrain, built on the bilateral and multilateral basis, first of all, in the framework of the United Nations Orhanisation and other authoritative international structures.
In this regard, Ebrahim Yusuf Al Abdullah expressed belief in the further development of the constructive dialogue and traditionally friendly relations that meet the interests of the two countries and peoples.
