In order to form processing industrial capacities, build import-substituting production facilities and improve their structure, as well as create new jobs, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree authorizing the Ministry of Industry and Construction Operations to ensure the construction of relevant industrial and production facilities in 2020-2023, as well as to hold international tenders for the selection of contractors for the construction of these facilities and ensure completion of their construction in due time.

As reported at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on February 20, in order to increase (up to one million tons per year) the capacity of Baherden and Lebap cement plants of the "Türkmensement" State Enterprise, it is planned to launch the construction of their second phase.

It is planned to erect a plant for the production of ceramic tiles and bathroom ceramics in the Baherden etrap, Ahal velayat, a plant for the production of 100 tons of glass products a day in the Geoktepe etrap, a plant for the production of ceramic tableware in Dashoguz, as well as a plant for the production of reinforcing bar with a capacity of 150,000 tons per year.
