President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers at the new building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

Vice Premier A. Gochyev reported on the on the current situation in the sectors under their supervision, and informed the Turkmen leader on the work done to implement the resolutions of the Code of Turkmenistan “On land”.

Informing the Turkmen leader on the results of the work done, the Vice Premier submitted the draft of the Resolution on the settlements of payments and rental payments for lands In turkmenistan to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

The Vice Premier also reported on the outcomes of the 5th session of the joint Turkmen-German working group held in the Turkmen capital on October 1-2. Energy, protection of environment, infrastructure and tourism, agriculture, health care, financial sphere, as well as other spheres were identified among the priority areas for cooperation between the two states.

During the meeting, the representatives of the German delegation expressed the interest in strengthening the efficient relations and put forward a number of initiatives regarding the participation in new joint projects.

Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov reported on outcomes of the IV Caspian Summit, which took place in Astrakhan, the Russian Federation on September 29.

Underlining the effectiveness of this high-level meeting as well as the importance of the documents signed during the meeting, the President gave a number of specific instructions regarding the key aspects of the development of cooperation in the Caspian Sea and enhancement of the international initiatives of our country, which were put forward during the IV Caspian Summit.

Then the Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the preparations for an official visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Belarus, which is scheduled for the next week. The Vice Premier also reported on the preparations for the participation of the President of Turkmenistan in the CIS Heads of States meeting in Minsk.

Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva informed the Turkmen leader on the work of the National Parliament on the further improvement of the national legislation in the context of implementation of the socially-oriented policy in the country. The report on the preparations for a meeting of the Elders' Council, which will be held in Lebap Velayat this month, was presented.

Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan and the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdylyev reported on the existing situation in the spheres under his supervision and informed the Turkmen leader on the progress of works on organizing the management system over the memorial complex that was built in the southwest of Ashgabat. The memorial complex includes the monument in honour of the Victory in the 1941-1945 War and the monument honouring the memory of heroes who died for the Fatherland and victims of the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake.

The report on the progress of agricultural work, in particular the cotton picking and winter crops sowing campaigns, as well as other agro-technical activities was presented.

Commenting on the report, the President expressed dissatisfaction with the low pace of agricultural works, in particular the cotton campaign and demanded the relevant officials to take all necessary measures to accelerate the pace of harvesting 'white gold'.

Then the floor was given to Vice Premier B. Hojamuhammedov, who reported on the preparations for a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on economic, scientific, technological, and cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova reported on the preparations for the opening ceremony of the new memorial complex in Ashgabat scheduled for October 6, as well as festive events on occasion of October holidays and architectural premiers timed to them.

The Vice Premier informed the Turkmen leader that the festive ceremony of awarding the winners of the Türkmeniň Altyn Asyry Contest of the President of Turkmenistan and workers of culture and art would be held in Balkan Velayat on October 7.

Balkan Velayat Khyakim B. Hojammamedov reported on the preparations for opening ceremonies of new social and economic facilities built in the western region of the country.

Vice Premier S. Satlykov reported on the preparations for the festive events dedicated to joining the Turkmen-Iranian section to the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran transnational railway.

Vice Premier S. Toylyev informed the Turkmen leader on the preparations for the XVII Conference of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmens, which by tradition will be held on the eve of the main holiday of the country - on October 23. The Vice Premier also reported on the outcomes of the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

Vice Premier B. Ereshov reported on the existing situation in the spheres under his supervision and the measures taken to increase the production capacities of the industrial sector of the national economy.

In particular, the Vice Premier reported on the progress of construction of the ore-dressing and processing enterprise for production of potash fertilizers in Koytendag Etrap, Lebap Velayat.

The Vice Premier also reported on the preparations for the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Belarus, which will be held in Minsk on October 7-8.

Vice Premier M. Artykov reported on the measures taken to further develop the energy industry. It was reported on the need to sign additional agreements to existing treaties in order to increase the volumes of Turkmen energy supply to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Vice Premier P. Taganov reported on the preparations for the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan dedicated to the 23d anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, which will take place in the Turkmen capital on October 11-12.
