The solemn ceremony of awarding workers of culture and art – the winners of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry creative contest took place at the Ruhyet Palace in Turkmenbashi with participation of the President of Turkmenistan. The creative contest is announced by the President of Turkmenistan among the workers of culture and art, amateur young singers and gifted children each year.
The cabinet ministers, heads and deputies of the National Parliament, representatives of public organisations, foreign and local journalists, workers of culture and art, numerous guests as well as the winners of the state contest gathered together at the Ruhyet Palace to take part in the ceremony.
The ceremony participants and guests to the festive event greeted the President of Turkmenistan with a storm of applause. The President cordially welcomed all those present and congratulated them on the 23d anniversary of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan.

Nurberdyeva read out the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the Conferring of the Honorary Titles on occasion of the 23d anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the Resolution on Awarding the winners of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry National creative contest.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov awarded the Honorary Titles to the best works of culture and art of Turkmenistan, and the presents to the winners of the State contest.
In conclusion of the ceremony, congratulating the awardees and all those present on the glorious date in the history of our country – the forthcoming anniversary of our independence, the Turkmen leader wished them every success in their work, family wellbeing and good health.
