President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Lebap Velayat to attend the opening ceremonies of new facilities. From the airport in Turkmenabat town, the President headed to the venue for the opening ceremony of a new library.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, public organisations and mass media, foreign embassies and international organisations accredited in Turkmenistan, Velayat Khyakims, participants of the meeting of the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan as well as businessmen, workers of culture and art and numerous local citizens greeted the President at the square in front of the building of a new library.
Under the storm of applause of those present, the Turkmen leader cut the ribbon and entered the building.
Upon completing the visit to the new library, the Turkmen leader headed to the venue for the opening ceremony of a shopping precinct. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cut the ribbon and entered the territory of the shopping complex that occupies an area of 50 hectares.
The guests to the ceremony were greeted with a colourful show performed by artists of the Turkmen national theatres and amateur groups.
The Turkmen leader visited the new shopping precinct, the territory of which hosts a small hotel, restaurant and two cafes, medical station, children's playing grounds. There are also three outdoor parking places designed for 2,730 cars on the territory of the complex.

Visiting the shopping complex, the President stopped by the counters with freshly baked chorek. The Turkmen leader asked the entrepreneur about the recipes, technologies, and production of bread. The woman told that she had gotten the recipes from her grandmother, who got them from her grondmother. So, the secrets of baking the Turkmen chorek are handed over from generation to generation for thousands of years.
The guests were treated with various types of the Turkmen chorek.
Then the Turkmen leader headed to the section presenting the variety of grain products, where the Turkmen leader was the first client who bought rice.
Heading to the exit from the shopping complex, the Turkmen leader stopped by the pavillion, where the carpet articles were presented.
The President noted that this branch of the national artistic art had a great potential for establishing an export production and recommended the carpet-weaver to become a member of the Union of Industrials and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Moreover, the Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to analyze the opportunities for bringing this unique and high-qality product to the foreign markets.
