On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States in Turkmenistan Martha Elena Federica Bárcena Coqui.
The diplomat was briefed on key aspects of the domestic and foreign policies of the Turkmen state. It was noted that independent neutral Turkmenistan was focused on enhancing the fruitful and mutually beneficial relations with all countries in the world, including the Latin American states, with which Turkmenistan had established the actively developing dialogue within the last years.
The Mexican diplomat was also informed of the structure and multifaceted activities of Turkmen Parliament as well as the social and economic changes taken place in the country.
Demonstrating the keen interest in the progressive reforms implemented in our country, Martha Elena Federica Bárcena Coqui expressed belief in that the further collaboration between the two states would serve to the interest of peace and prosperity of the friendly peoples of Turkmenistan and Mexico.

The prospects for establishing the bilateral cooperation were discussed within the framework of the meetings. The diplomat also had a meeting with students and teachers of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
