President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bijan Namdar Zangeneh.
During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest discussed the progress in implementing the earlier achieved agreements and the prospects for enhancing the Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in the fuel and energy complex that was a priority for the multi-aspect intergovernmental dialogue.
It was noted that due to the accumulated experience of successful joint work and tremendous resource potential, which was supported by the nevertheless significant geographic location, neighbouring Turkmenistan and Iran would continue developing the traditional partnership based on the principles of trust, equality, and mutual benefit.
