On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Turkmenistan Mr. Amenothep Zambrano Contreras, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital leading the delegation of the friendly country.
The diplomat was briefed on key aspects and priorities of the domestic and foreign policies of the Turkmen state. It was noted that independent neutral Turkmenistan was aimed at widening the fruitful mutually beneficial relations with all countries of the world, including the Latin American countries.
The Ambassador was also informed on the key aspects of the national projects and programmes implemented in the country with the aim to ensure the successive economic growth of the country and further improvement of the social sphere. The issues under discussion included the activities of the Mejlis, the main legislative body of the country.
Expressing keen interest in the changes taking place in the Turkmen land, the diplomat told about successes in the political, social and economic development of the his country. Emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing close relations to enhance the constructive dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Venezuela.
