President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan Mr. Tae-In Chung, who presented his letters of credence to the leader of the Turkmen state.
The President and his guest exchanged views on the prospects of Turkmen-Korean cooperation that has the tremendous potential in various fields, including in the trade and economic, fuel and energy, transport, construction, high technology and other sectors.
Priority areas of partnership included the humanitarian and cultural spheres, serving as an integral component of Turkmen-Korean relations. In this context, the Turkmen leader and the Korean diplomat focused on existing good opportunities to deepen traditional cooperation in education, science and culture as well as to establish close contacts in the spheres of health care, sport and tourism.
