On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received letters of credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia in Turkmenistan Mr. Jaime Giron Duarte. The plenipotentiary representative of the friendly country was briefed on key priorities of the society oriented policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in particular ongoing ambitious projects and programmes aimed at further improving the standard of living of Turkmen citizens. The diplomat was also informed of the organizational structure and legislative activities of Turkmen Parliament. An exchange of views on the prospects of Turkmen-Colombian cooperation spotlighted its priority fields, such as the trade and economic, oil and gas, tourism and other sectors.


During the visit to Ashgabat the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia in Turkmenistan was received at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
