The meeting agenda focused on the key activities of a number of economic sectors, including the progress in implementing the social and economic development programmes, and the main issues of the foreign policy.
The heads of regional administration reported on the current situation in their regions, seasonal agricultural activities and measures taken to implement the national rural development programme, including the construction of facilities and buildings.
The layouts of the Flag Square to be built in the administrative centres of the regions were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. The information on the preparations for the celebrations in honour of the significant dates in the national calendar was presented.
Commenting on the report of the Ashgabat Hyakim on the current situation in the city, the Turkmen leader instructed to keep landscape activities under strict control and monitor the ecological situation in the capital city.

Taganov reported on the activities carried out by the Ministry and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader's instructions to monitor the current state and clean water storage reservoirs and other artificial reservoirs. The Minister reported on the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the international conference on the Aral Sea, which was held in Urgench, the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is planned to purchase 1,492 motor vehicles of different types and spare parts to the sum of over US$ 125.712 million.

Noting that the volume of works performed by Turkmen State News Service was increasing, the President said that it would be appropriate to rename it to State News Agency of Turkmenistan. The President focused on the need to take a comprehensive and responsible approach to the relocation of the Agency to a new building and the creation of favourable working conditions for its staff.
