President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Prime Minister of Republic of Tajikistan Rasulzoda Kohir, who arrived in the Turkmen capital for participation in the meeting of Council of the heads of CIS governments.
In the course of the meeting, the parties have discussed a series of issues related to the expansion of interaction both on bilateral basis and within the framework of CIS. In this connection, a stress was made on prospects of further development of interstate relations, being based on principles of centuries-old friendship and spiritual commonness of two nations.
In the course of discussion of vital aspects of long-term mutually beneficial cooperation, the head of government of friendly country expressed the interest of Tajikistan in stirring up the interaction in transport sphere. Realization of large project of construction of steel main Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan will attach powerful impulse to it. It is urged to serve not only for interests of two friendly countries and people, but also for purposes of development of regional and international cooperation. It was also noted the efficiency of interaction in the sphere of energy, trade and industry.
Having underlined the priorities in the sphere of education, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke for strengthening of contacts in this field as well as continuation of mutually useful practice of cultural and creative exchanges between Turkmenistan and Republic of Tajikistan.
In conclusion of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and Prime Minister of Tajikistan expressed the confidence that the Turkmen-Tajik dialogue will be continued in constructive clue taking into account the policy on expansion of mutually beneficial partnership both in bilateral and multilateral format, within the framework of international organizations and structures.
