The President of Turkmenistan congratulated the rural toilers, masters of farming and all compatriots on the Harvest Holiday.
This holiday, being celebrated annually on the last Sunday of November, is “the embodiment of pride of people for fruits of their creative labor, for cultivated rich harvests and expression of love for native land”. “Harvest Holiday is the respect at the state level for honest labor of our farmers,” – noted the head of state in congratulatory Address.
The nation leader underlined that the sources of Harvest Holiday – one of ancient national holidays of the Turkmen trace back to centuries. It reflects spiritual values and traditions of the people, their cohesion, diligent, high moral ideals.
In this year, the grain-growers overfulfilled the contract obligations on production of raw cotton, having yielded over 1 million 100 thousand tons of “white gold”. The President of Turkmenistan expressed the confidence that masters of generous cotton harvests will gain higher results in future.
The head of state noted in his address that the reforms aimed at increase of profitability of agricultural sector are urged to provide the food abundance, increase the export to overseas countries of high-quality products cultivated on the Turkmen land.
“All conditions are created in our country for highly productive labor of farmers in order that they will be able to grow and yield high harvests, enjoy the fruits of their honest labor and increase their welfare. The state systematically purchases powerful agricultural technique to help the farmers. This machinery allows conducting high-quality cultivation of lands and sown areas, yielding the cultivated harvest quickly and without losses. Besides, the farmers purchase at a reduced fare the mineral fertilizers, seeds and chemical means for agricultural pest control. Calculations with leaseholders for delivered products are conducted opportunely.
The farmers respond to all-round concern of the state with their inspired labor, cultivating the rich harvests on scared Turkmen land and making a contribution to the development of agriculture of the country.
Exemption to agricultural producers, high estimation of labor of leading leaseholders and farmers, landowners testify about particular respect of our state for rural toilers, who skillfully combine today the primordial agricultural traditions with attainments of modern science”.
