President of Turkmenistan received the World Bank’s Vice President

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received World Bank’s Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Ms. Laura Tuck, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the high-level international energy forum.

The Turkmen leader and his guest discussed the prospects of the bilateral cooperation in the context of its priority aspects and the large-scale social and economic changes and reforms implemented in Turkmenistan with the aim to diversify the national economy, modernize the financial and banking structures, improve the social sphere and, in general, bring the country up to the new, advanced levels of its development.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and World Bank’s Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Ms. Laura Tuck also paid particular attention to the forthcoming forum that would promote the mutually beneficial exchange of views and improvement of the international partnership with the aim to ensure the global energy security as an integral factor of the sustainable development.

In conclusion of the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest once again underlined the significance of strengthening and enhancing cooperation that was established between Turkmenistan and the World Bank, including through implementation of new joint projects in various spheres.
