President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The meeting agenda focused on the proper preparations for the upcoming celebrations, including the New Year celebrations. The meeting participants presented the reports on the measures taken to prepare for the celebrations in a proper and timely manner.
The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers presented the reports on the current situation in the sectors under their supervision and the measures taken to carry out the Turkmen leader's instructions and achieve the social and economic development objectives.
It was noted that the preparations for the New Year celebrations had been launched in the capital city and the regions of the country, the complex measures were taken to meet the demand for souvenirs, delicacies, New Year trees, decorations, etc.
Commenting on the reports, the President emphasized that the holidays celebrated in December played an important role in the life of our people and country. In this context the Turkmen leader focused on the need to take a responsible approach to celebrating the anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan and the New Year's Day.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the high-ranking officials to study in detail the consumer demand of citizens in the capital city and the regions and flood the domestic markets with high-quality food products and industrial goods during the winter holidays. The Turkmen leader also instructed to ensure that high quality services rendered to customers would meet international standards.
Focusing on the need to develop the programme of cultural events and celebrations, which will be held during the winter school holidays for young citizens of our country, the Turkmen leader instructed to create favourable conditions for leisure activities of children.
