President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Ervand Zaharyan, who arrived in the Turkmen capital for participation in the Forum of Energy Charter “Reliable and stable transit of energy resources”.
In the course of the meeting, the nation leader and his guest exchanged the views on prospects of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Armenia, including in the energy sector, and particularly in the field of power industry as well as in several other sectors. In this context, it was noted significant role of the activity of joint Intergovernmental Commission. In the course of its regular meeting to be held in Yerevan, it is planned to discuss the priority issues related to the expansion and diversification of bilateral trade-economic ties and increase of volumes of mutual commodity circulation.
Sharing with their impressions about our country and Ashgabat, the guest pointed out that he had a chance to visit Turkmenistan nearly 10 years ago, and now, he is surprised at paces and scales of construction, being realized in the Turkmen capital, which turned into wonderful architectural pearl of the East. Taking this opportunity, Mr. Ervand Zaharyan addressed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and in his person to all Turkmen people warm congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of upcoming national holiday – the Neutrality Day.
In conclusion of the meeting, the head of state and his guest expressed the confidence that traditional relations of friendship and fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Republic of Armenia will develop successfully for welfare of people of two countries in future as well.
