President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov considered the projects of new buildings and facilities, which will be built in Ashgabat. In the morning the Turkmen leader headed to Ashgabat Hotel located in the south of the capital city, where the new administrative, business and cultural city centre was developing.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went up to the fifteenth floor, where the plane tables with the draft designs of new buildings and facilities developed by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Ministry of Construction and Architecture were installed.
The general plan and draft designs of the 15th construction stage projects were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration. These include apartment houses for a total of 1,544 apartments, including 200 two-storey cottages. Another housing estate meeting modern standards will spring up in the capital city in the near future. There will be a number of social facilities, including a kindergarten for 160 children, a school for 600 children and two parks in the new housing estate.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdylyev presented the projects of 12-storey apartment houses to the Turkmen leader for consideration. Providing specific comments and recommendations on the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the layout of buildings should be elaborated and fully meet their functional specifications.
Emphasizing that it was necessary to take the landscape and relief features of construction sites into consideration when developing the projects, the President instructed to elaborate all the details.
The President considered the construction projects to be implemented in Ashgabat at the 13th and 14th stages of the urban development programme.
The 13th construction stage projects include white-marble high-rise apartment houses with modern conveniences and various facilities to be built at the request of ministries and departments. These include two kindergartens for 160 children each, two schools for 600 children each and health centre which will render medical services to patients in line with international standards.
It should be noted that the crucial role in implementing the13th construction stage projects is assigned to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Today, Turkmen businesses are taking an active part in implementing the comprehensive development programmes launched throughout the country, making their profound contribution to enhancing the economic strength of our country.

The draft designs of new facilities of the trade and services sectors include a shopping centre on Navoi Street and a shopping and consumer services centre on Oguzhan Street. The construction projects of the Rysgal Bank, a business and shopping centre, the 8-storey housing complex of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a health promotion centre at the Tajir recreational centre which will use the healing properties of mineral water were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
The President provided specific comments and recommendations on the draft designs and approved them as a whole. The Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to effectively use original architectural ideas and engineering and technical solutions in practice and to keep the quality of construction works and adherence to construction schedule under strict control.
The projects presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration included a workshop in Ahal Velayat, which will produce decorative finishing materials, and a basalt plant.
The President approved these projects and instructed to explore the possibilities of building new industrial facilities which would use local raw materials, in particular the construction of a plant on the gypsum deposits located in Lebap Velayat. The Minister of Construction and Architecture presented the draft designs of decorative elements, which would adorn the territories adjacent to new buildings and green zones, to the President for consideration.
