President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar in Turkmenistan Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Suwaidi, who presented his credentials to the leader of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of the further development of the bilateral cooperation in wide spectrum of issues. Confirming the adherence of the two countries to the large-scale partnership, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Ambassador of the State of Qatar underlined that the two countries had the tremendous potential to enhance traditional cooperation between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar in the trade and economic sectors, to increase the trade turnover, develop efficient business relations in the sphere of energy safety, transit and transport corridors, the spheres of sports and tourism and other areas. Also, the talks focused on partnership in the cultural sphere.

In conclusion, the President of Turkmenistan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar expressed belief in that the intergovernmental relations enriched with a new content would strengthen and develop in the interest of the two peoples.
