President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the progress in implementing the National programme on development of regions and important issues of the domestic policy.
The heads of administration reported on the current situation in the regions and the measures taken in accordance with the Turkmen leader’s instructions. It was reported on the ongoing agricultural activities and the progress in implementing the construction projects in the regions.
The reports spotlighted the projects on the beautification of the capital city and the improvement of its social infrastructure.
Commenting on the reports, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to keep the works on allocating lands to tenants, ensuring tenants' proprietary attitude to allocated lands and providing support to agricultural workers under the rigorous control.
The President requested to restructure the work of the administrative institutions in velayats in order to increase its effectiveness and emphasized that the heads of etraps were personally responsible for the efficiency of all agricultural campaigns on the areas assigned to them, including raising the profitability of livestock farms.
The Turkmen leader demanded the relevant officials to organise meetings to discuss the tasks set during this videoconference meeting and take relevant decisions.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that the major objectives of the development programmes included improvement of Ashgabat and the cleanliness and neatness of the city as well as timely completion and quality of construction works in the Turkmen capital. The Turkmen leader also noted that the heads of etraps should spend more time among population, keep the ongoing work under strict control and analyze the situation on the construction sites.
The Turkmen leader emphasized that it was necessary to increase the personal responsibility of all hyakims of etraps in order that the work carried out in the regions and the capital city should conform the constructive spirit of the epoch and be effective. In this regard, the President gave a number of instruction to pall participants of the videoconference meeting.
