President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the first meeting of the State Security Council in 2015. The meeting agenda focused on the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies last year.
The members of the State Security Council presented the detailed reports on the current situation in the spheres under their supervision and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress in implementing the military reform in whole, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the sovereign Turkmen state should take consistent measures to build up capacity of the national army and create favourable conditions of service, life and recreation of defenders of the Motherland.
Focusing on the key role of the Ministry of National Security in maintaining internal social and political stability, the President noted that it was necessary to steadily strengthen the foundations of a peaceful and constructive life of Turkmen society, the unity and solidarity of the nation as an essential factor of further economic and spiritual development of Turkmenistan.
The President focused on the need to ensure security of the land and sea borders of our country and strictly monitor the construction of important facilities.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that it was necessary to consistently optimize the activities of law enforcement agencies that play a crucial role in maintaining public order. The high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were instructed to step up measures to ensure fire safety and improve the activities of the State Traffic Control Service.
