President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and cabinet ministers expressed deep condolences upon the untimely passing in the 64th year of his age Editor-in-Chief of the Neutral Turkmenistan Newspaper, outstanding journalist and public figure Viktor Georgievich Zaytzev.
Viktor Georgievich Zaytzev was born on January 15, 1952 in Balkanabat, Balkan Velayat.
In 1969-1974, he majored in history at the Kazakh State University in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1974-1976, Viktor Georgievich worked as a schoolteacher and vice principal at secondary school 3 in Balkanabat.
Starting from 1976 till 2012, Viktor Georgievich performed various functions in public organisations.
Starting from January 6, 2012 till the end of his life, Viktor Georgievich Zaytzev held a post of the Editor-in-Chief of the Neutral Turkmenistan Newspaper.
Viktor Georgievich Zaytzev was awarded the “Garaşsyz Türkmenistana bolan beýik söýgüsi üçin” Order, “Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin”, “Gaýrat”, “Magtymguly Pyragy”, “Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 20 ýyllygy” medals for outstanding contribution to implementation of large-scale reforms in our country.
