President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat. The meeting agenda focused on the key aspects of social and economic development of the country and the current situation in the regions and the capital in the context of the ongoing programmes of comprehensive reforms.
The information on the measures taken to beautify and landscape the capital was presented. In particular, the report focused on the work on the improvement of social infrastructure of Ashgabat and the newly established Archabil Etrap and the arrangement of green spaces in the city and its vicinities.
The information on the preparations for the Flag Day celebrations was presented.
The heads of administration reported on the ongoing work in the regions and the measures taken to fulfil the Turkmen leader’s instructions to plant young trees and carry out agro-technical activities on agricultural lands. The reports also covered the progress of the construction of social and cultural facilities and the preparations for a meeting of the Elders’ Council.
Commenting on the reports, the President instructed to step up and properly carry out landscaping and tree planting works in Ashgabat. The Turkmen leader emphasized the need to keep strict control over the activities of administration departments and institutions of the services sector and the construction of buildings and infrastructure facilities.
The Turkmen leader instructed to take a science based approach to large-scale tree planting campaigns and recommended that more fruit trees should be planted together with coniferous trees in the Avaza national tourism zone and other regions of the country.
