President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a videoconference meeting with the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat and the high-ranking officials of the departments concerned.
The progress in implementing the social and economic development strategy of the Turkmen state and the national development programmes in the regions and seasonal agricultural activities were discussed and the documents were signed during the meeting.
The heads of administration reported on ongoing work in the framework of the national rural development programme and the measures taken to fulfil the assigned tasks of developing the agro-industrial sector and improving the standard of living of citizens.
The information on the preparations for a meeting of the Elders’ Council, which will take place in Balkan Velayat, and the celebrations in honour of the national holiday – Flag Day was presented.
The report on the current situation and ongoing landscaping activities in Ashgabat was presented.
The reconstruction project and draft designs of a park in Turkmenabat were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration.
Commenting on the reports and dwelling upon the development of the agro-industrial sector, the Turkmen leader instructed to prepare for the upcoming cotton campaign and demanded that the allocation of lands to tenant farmers should be kept under strict control in order to ensure that the important agricultural campaign would be held in a proper and timely manner. The Turkmen leader demanded that etrap hyakims would adjust their work schedule so that they could make regular trips to farmers associations and monitor the current situation and ongoing agro-technical activities.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also instructed to keep the work towards the improvement of social and living conditions in the regions under strict control.
Emphasizing that the aspects of life of the capital should be kept under strict control, the Turkmen leader demanded that etrap hyakims would adjust their work schedule so that they could visit the sections and streets under their supervision, inspect the condition of roads and houses and ensure that green plantations and territories were kept neat and clean.
After considering the reconstruction project, the President approved it as a whole and instructed to announce the tender for the reconstruction of the facility.
Commenting on the report on the work done by the Commission under the President of Turkmenistan to prepare the proposals for citizenship and amnesty, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on the amnesty of convicted persons in honour of Flag Day of Turkmenistan.
The President issued the Resolution on the appointment of B. Gylyjov Karabekavul Etrap Deputy Hyakim, Lebap Velayat.
