President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which the priority aspects of the domestic policy were discussed and the draft documents were considered.
The hyakims of Ashgabat and the etraps of the capital city presented the reports. The information on the progress in developing the Ashgabat Development General Plan for 2015-2016 was presented. The first phase of the Plan will be implemented during the current year and completed by the 20th anniversary of the status of neutrality of Turkmenistan; the second phase is expected to be completed in 2016.
The General Plan stipulates that new apartment houses will be built and buildings from the state housing stock and a number of enterprises will be reconstructed. It is planned to modernize the road system, build necessary facilities and take the measures to improve electric power supply to Ashgabat. The reconstruction of administrative buildings, social and cultural facilities, infrastructure facilities, parks and public gardens will continue. The reports covered the ongoing work in the framework of the projects of the 14th construction stage in Ashgabat and the preparation of the projects of the 15th construction stage.

According to the draft National Programme, over 600 social and cultural facilities and thousands of kilometres of infrastructures are to be built.
The information on the work done by the consulting company Edison Technologies KG in the framework of the project of the plant producing glass and glass products in Derveze Etrap, Ahal Velayat was presented. The winner of the tender for the design and construction of this industrial facility is the Turkish company Tere Turkmen Insaat we Ticaret Anonim Sirteti. The information on the implementation of the programme of the celebrations in honour of the 20th anniversary of the status of permanently neutrality of Turkmenistan was presented.

The President issued the Resolution on the Approval of the procedure for the recognition of the documents on higher and secondary vocational education issued in foreign states for citizens of Turkmenistan, the Resolution on the Approval of the Regulations on the licensing of road works, the Resolution on the Approval of the National Road Safety Programme of Turkmenistan for 2015-2017 and the Resolution on the Approval of the Regulations on labour discipline in the rail transport sector of Turkmenistan. The President issued the Resolution according to which ministries, departments and hyakimlik are to plant 3 millions of deciduous, coniferous and fruit seedlings and vines in Ashgabat and its vicinity in 2015.
