President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev.
The guest conveyed the hearty greetings of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev, who had the sincere recollections of the first official visit to Turkmenistan, to the Turkmen leader. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic also conveyed the invitation to pay a return visit to Kyrgyzstan to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The foreign minister of the friendly country noted that the Government of Kyrgyzstan attached crucial importance to the intensification of full cooperation with Turkmenistan. Taking an opportunity, the guest congratulated the Turkmen leader on the upcoming 20th anniversary of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan, noting that Kyrgyzstan would attend the anniversary celebrations.
Expressing his best wishes to the leadership and the people of the Kyrgyz Republic, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that our country intended to foster the constructive interstate dialogue.
It is the similarity or coincidence of views of the two countries on topical issues of world politics and their mutual efforts towards long-term cooperation that contribute to the intensification of fruitful relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The sides were unanimous that the results of the fruitful Turkmen-Kyrgyz summit, which was held in Ashgabat in November last year, had given a new powerful impetus to develop bilateral relations. Exchanging views on the progress in implementing bilateral agreements, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest expressed belief that the upcoming visit of the Turkmen leader to Bishkek would contribute to the interstate dialogue.
Given the existing potential for expanding cooperation, initially built on a mutually beneficial and equitable basis, the possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the trade, economic, energy, agricultural, communications, transport and humanitarian sectors were discussed. The organizational issues of a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
Noting with satisfaction that Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan were moving forward along the path of trustful partnership and creation in the interests of the two countries and the region for all these years, the Turkmen leader and his guest expressed the readiness of the parties to promote cooperation and implement joint projects.
